Default Categories
Fawterly provides default expense categories aligned with standard accounting practices: Office Supplies, Travel, Utilities, Marketing, Professional Services, and more. These categories map to your chart of accounts automatically.

Custom Categories
Create custom expense categories to match your business needs. Navigate to Settings and select "Expense Categories." Add new categories, rename existing ones, or merge categories. Each category links to a general ledger account.
